Project
Gunda Wieczorek is working in the RAGO (tiefe RAndströme im östlichen
Gotlandbecken der Ostsee) project led by Dr. Eberhard Hagen. The
project is investigating the deep boundary currents in the Eastern
Gotlandbasin of the Baltic Sea. This project is located at the IOW in
the section "Physical Oceanography and Instrumentation".
Current work
Since November 2005 I'm a PhD-student at the IOW (Baltic Sea Research
Institute). In the framework of the project RAGO, I will investigate
the spatiotemporal scales of topographically steered boundary currents
and their effects in and below the halocline during inflow events into
the eastern Gotlandbasin and stagnation periods in this basins.
