ATKIM: Abbaubarkeit von arktischem, terrigenem Kohlenstoff im Meer

Klimawandel verstärkt den Eintrag von terrestrischem gelöstem organischem Kohlenstoff (tDOM) in den Ozean. Ein Team aus Leibniz- und Universitätsinstituten untersucht den mikrobiellen Abbau von tDOM in der Ostsee. Die Zusammensetzung und Bioverfügbarkeit des DOM sowie Bakterien-DOM-Interaktionen stehen dabei im Fokus.
