Baltic Sea Marine Geology, September 8 – 12, 2014

Welcome to the Baltic 2014 in Rostock-Warnemünde!

The Colloquium on Baltic Sea Marine Geology is a biannual scientific conference fostering the exchange of current research results in the field of marine geology related to the Baltic Sea. In 2014, the conference will be hosted by the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde (IOW).

Throughout its long tradition as a platform for cross-border communication in the Baltic Sea, the conference has always been targeting both basic and applied aspects of marine geology. The topics of Baltic 2014 will comprise:

• Baltic Sea paleoenvironments – proxies and models
• Sea level change and coastal processes
• Sediment and habitat mapping of the sea floor
• Anthropogenic impact / hazardous substances

Both, oral and poster presentations, focusing on one of these topics are welcome. UPDATE: A Scientific Steering Committee has jointly decided which of the submitted presentations has be accepted for the final programme.
