Climate Modelling School
In the framework of the BONUS+ project AMBER (Assessment and Modelling Baltic Ecosystem Response) a workshop will take place for Ph.D. students from countries around the Baltic Sea.
The students should become familiar with the tools, assumptions, results and uncertainties of state-of-the-art climate modelling on global and regional scales.
The school will cover the following topics:
- global climate models
- regional climate models
- earth system models
- dynamical downscaling
- greenhouse gas emission scenarios
- recent results of transient scenario simulations for the Baltic Sea catchment area
- ensemble modelling
- paleoclimate modelling
- IPCC
