The Research Vessel "Elisabeth Mann Borgese"

The "Elisabeth Mann Borgese" replaced the "Professor Albrecht Penck", which was decommissioned in August 2010. Its main operational area is the Baltic Sea. The "ex-Schwedeneck", previously used by the Naval Technical Service, is fully equipped for civilian marine research. The ship has a total of 97 m² of laboratory space and a  large working deck. Twelve scientists and a crew of eleven can be accommodated.
