Greifswald Talks on Energy, Environmental and Maritime Law (Kopie)
June 30, 2025, 16:30 - 19:30 "Marine biodiversity and maritime uses: legal governance (EU RED III and UN-BBNJ)’ is the main topic of the 8th Greifswald Talks (in German), which the Institute for Energy, Environmental and Maritime Law (IfEUS) of the University of Greifswald is organising together with the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) and the IOW. This time, the hybrid event will be hosted at the IOW. Registration for attendance or online participation is possible until June 23, 2025 (see programme PDF).
12th ‘Warnemünde Turbulence Days’ (WTD)
September 21 - 25, 2025: Waves and turbulence are fundamental phenomena in the ocean that influence a wide range of temporal and spatial scales. The aim of the annual WTD workshop is to discuss the latest knowledge on waves and turbulence in geophysical flows, especially in the ocean, and to address open questions in this field. For WTD 2025, which this time will take place on the Baltic Sea island of Vilm, a special focus will be placed on the modelling of non-local effects in turbulent flows to provide a compact discussion forum for this emerging topic..
