About

Hey, my name is Florian and I am working as a Postdoc at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde. In my work, I focus on the long-term variability in the Baltic Sea. This helps to understand changes within the Baltic Sea ecosystem.

Research area

  • climate variability and climate sensitivity of the North Atlantic
  • coupled physical-biogeochemical modeling to study the marine ecosystem in past climates
  • teleconnections between the North Atlantic and Northern Europe
  • long-term trends in the Baltic Sea

Regression of SST anomalies onto AMV

Regression of SST anomalies onto the AMV

Methods

  • Data handling
  • Multi regression analysis for data prediction
  • Wavelet analysis
  • Low-frequency component analysis/li>
  • Cluster analysis
  • EOF
